The importance of being a photographer

Wednesday, February 10th, 2010

Last week I received a tragic phone call from a mother I photographed three years ago; she was in tears. I remembered her very well; She came to me to photograph her pregnancy and then capture images of her child after his birth.

Unfortunately this phone call revealed that she had misplaced the photographs of her child and was in panic. Because of possible events like this one, The Harry Fayt Studio always advises a client to purchase the high-resolution disk with their images for their own reference.

Luckily in this mother’s case, we had kept the images in our archive, but we cannot guaranty that we keep an archive of every sitting. Sometimes technology can fail without warning. Your photographs are priceless and timeless for you and your family, so it is of utmost importance to preserve these images!
